Meet Mike Mackey
Mike brings more than 15 years of experience to the MAX team. With previous work in youth recreation, fitness facility management, personal training, post-secondary education, and creating (and running) his own online business, Mike has hardly left a stone unturned when it comes to the world of health and fitness.
Mike is an avid preacher of movement quality and overall longevity. He says "... I understand why people subconsciously avoid the exercises that they struggle with. My own personal touch to coaching will help to make sure that doesn’t happen, so that you can still build on your strengths while simultaneously identifying and addressing any weaknesses along the way."
After nearly a decade living in Halifax, Mike returned to his roots in St. John's in 2021, and he is thrilled to join MAX and their incredible community.
After a tough couple of years for the fitness industry, he has never been more motivated to help our programs, coaches and members grow, develop, thrive and succeed!
