Actual basketball games are not a part of this program’s curriculum. Players will participate in fun skill building games suited to the level of the developmental age.

MAX Basketball has created a unique program that has proven to prepare our players for a successful future in the sport of basketball.
Jumpers (Girls)
Girls 11-12
Sundays 1:30pm-3:00pm
At this age you want to start making sure your child has a good base of skills if they want to be a basketball player. Many players at this age become eligible for school teams and other outside club programs. To ensure your child has a good chance to play at this level MAX Basketball focuses on slowly introducing players to the game in a condensed version. We spend half of the allotted time on skill development and half on game situations. In the MAX Basketball program we gradually get the players to compete in a 5-on-5 setting. After a decade of teaching players at this level, Director, Erica Kennedy feels very strongly that teaching in the 3-on-3 format is the most productive way to develop young players. At this age 10 kids on the court is too confusing for many players and often times many kids get lost in the shuffle. Jumpers makes sure the players get a lot of touches on the ball to ensure skill development.

The program is a fair play program whereby every player gets an equal opportunity to compete and develop their skills. Sessions are broken down into half skills and half games. Over the last decade MAX Basketball and its game/skill model have produced some of Newfoundland’s top talents. Players have gotten dropped from school teams, joined MAX Basketball, and made the school squad the next year. Our program takes great pride in having the ability to train players of all skill levels and produce results for all players.
