Pamela Pittman
Associate Director, Dance (currently on Maternity Leave)
Pamela brings 17 years of dance teaching experience to MAX in a variety of disciplines. A lifelong lover of dance, Pamela achieved great success in her advanced and associate teacher examinations through the I.S.T.D. Her teaching career has taken her worldwide including contracts in Ontario, British Columbia, Norway and her home Newfoundland. She has trained both male and female students ranging from the toddler to the senior citizen and from the absolute beginner to the advanced dancer. She has successfully entered hundreds of students and teachers-in-training for dance exams with the ISTD.
Pamela has appeared on stage and screen as a dancer, and has been employed as a solo convention performer and either principal dancer, choreographer or assistant choreographer in such shows as The Rocky Horror Show, all the Our Divas Do Christmas/Broadway shows, Cats, A Tribute to Dolly Parton, Oliver!, A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac, South Pacific and Grease. Though teaching is her main focus, Pamela continues to participate in professional and charitable productions on a regular basis.
