Lynn Panting
Associate Director, Dance
Lynn is deeply committed to the growth of creativity and self-confidence through movement. In addition to running her own dance studio for several years, Lynn has been an instructor with the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council ‘Art Smarts’ program which brings artists into local school. She has also choreographed and performed in several pieces for Neighbourhood Dance Works Festival of New Dance and the St. John’s International Sound Symposium.
Lynn holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy from Memorial University as well as a Master of Humanities concentrating in performance, dance and the body. Future education includes a PHD concentrating on performance, movement and the mind.
In addition to her life as a teacher, Lynn has had the opportunity to take part in a number of professional and community productions. Most recent performance credits include: Philip Goodridge’s “Eli and the Death Curse” (Lilah), Gerry Morita’s “Spatial Pull” (dancer), Shakespeare by the Sea’s “Loves Labours Lost” (Maria) and “The Tempest” (Ariel), TA DA Entertainment’s “Alice in Wonderland” (The Red Queen), “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” (Columbia) and “Diva’s do Broadway” (Magenta from “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” and Six the Merry Murderess from “Chicago”).
