Private Music Instructor

MAX Music is seeking passionate voice, piano and musical theatre instructors to join our exceptional music faculty in both Mount Pearl and St. John’s studios. Instructor – Group Music Classes for Music Together by MAX

We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to teach our Music Together classes; a non-performance based group music education program for children.

If you are experienced in music, and have interest in teaching this high quality music programming for ages 0 to 7 years old, we would welcome your application.

Applicants should have the following:

  • Formal music training and experience in at least one instrument (piano, guitar, flute, violin etc.) A range of instruments would be considered an asset but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read sheet music.
  • Ability to sing in tune and maintain a steady beat.
  • A level of comfort working with both children and their parents.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Become familiar with Music Together curriculum provided, and teach all class offerings.
  • Help grow and develop young children in their introduction to music in a group setting, with the help of their parents.
  • Create a positive rapport with students, parents and guardians.
  • Be a collaborative member of the MAX Music & Theatre team.

Previous experience teaching music lessons, group classes and/or working with young children is considered an asset.
